For some reason, I got the idea to draw a realistic Sailor Moon/Scouts. However, I began sketching my idea, and her face/eyes reminded me so much of Fuu from Samurai Champloo, I just went with it and drew from memory.
The light source was meant to be coming from the upper right corner, but I fail at shadows, especially when I only spend an hour on a drawing. This picture just kind of flowed from the pencils. I didn't erase at all the entire image, except to get stray pencil marks from around her hair from the initial sketch. If this goes well - I enjoy it, others enjoy it, I may start doing these pencil semi-realism-renders of different anime characters. Any ideas? Shout 'em out. I want to try to draw one or two a day. I'm only drawing females right now, until I get better at drawing Males. Fuu doesn't belong to me. Watanabe owns her and Champloo. |
